Are you a manufacturer of medical devices in need of an ergonomically comfortable and high-performance user interface? We at steute Meditec can offer you a comprehensive range of products from our flexibly configurable Classic Line or create a customised solution specifically to your requirements and in collaboration with you. With steute, you have the choice between cabled signal transmission or innovative wireless technology developed especially with medical technology in mind. FLEXIBILITY – AT ITS BEST.
At the MEDICA 2024, steute Meditec will be launching a new foot switch concept for its Classic Line. Outstanding features of the 2-pedal RF 2 SW2.4LE-MED foot switch include an impressively wide actuation angle of 2 x 360°, wireless signal transmission and an enclosure which is both attractive and extremely easy to clean.
steute is continually working on the user interface of the future, and we will be presenting our latest findings at the MEDICA 2024. The goal is to have an interface for the interoperable OR in line with the requirements of the "Service-oriented Device Connectivity" (SDC) open communication standard. This standard enables surgeons to have a single central control system with which they can operate all devices as needed. steute is focusing on cross-manufacturer real-time integration on the basis of RT-SDC (real-time SDC) and is playing a leading role in driving forward standardisation in this field. SDC improves ergonomic comfort and facilitates better concentration of the surgeon on the patient and the ongoing surgical procedure.
steute Meditec has been participating for a considerable time in various research initiatives pursuing the further development of connectivity and interoperability in the OR. The current status will be presented at the MEDICA: user interfaces for a wide range of disciplines and fields, such as HF surgery, ophthalmology and medical imaging (CT, MRI, microscopy), are all potential applications for the SDC standard.
SDC controls communicate remotely with their corresponding medical devices – via a special wireless protocol adapted specifically to the (safety) requirements of medical technology.
