Counting function in automated manufacturing systems
Counting manufactured or processed goods is one of the basic tasks in automated production. In many production lines, for example, the number of processed products is counted after every single work step in order to ascertain which process steps are causing larger quantities of surplus goods to be produced.
Here it is common to use position switches with turning levers or touch springs. These switches need to have very high switching frequencies and a long lifespan.
For this task it is possible to use not only cabled switches, but also battery-operated wireless switches.
The key advantage of wireless technology is its versatility: users can mount the switches quickly and easily in various locations. This means that the wireless switches are also well suited to short-term counting tasks.
