Switchgear products in potentially explosive environments have to fulfil special requirements. steute has been at home in this field for many years and has acquired comprehensive expertise about explosion protection. Our product range was quick to adhere to the EC guideline 94/9/EG (ATEX), since when it has continually expanded – with the result that today steute offers the most comprehensive range of switchgear products for the field of explosion protection worldwide.

Our explosion protection portfolio includes position switches, footswitches, pull-wire switches, magnetic switches and other switchgear for dust and gas-explosive areas classed as zone 1 & 2 or 21 & 22. Another extensive part of our range comprises Ex safety switches in various versions.
